The first Windows keyboards with the AI Copilot button will be presented in the coming days at CES Las Vegas.

Pressing a button launches Windows Copilot services, which use AI technologies to help users perform various tasks on the computer (writing emails, summarizing long texts, adding dates to a calendar, changing images).

There are millions of Copilot users, but by adding this button, Microsoft is betting that Copilot will become widely used and become a “massive” service.

Microsoft says 2024 will be “the year of the PC with artificial intelligence” and insists that artificial intelligence technologies will gradually be integrated into more and more of the company’s products.

Microsoft launched Copilot in September under the slogan “your everyday AI companion.” In November, it was announced that Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise would be renamed Microsoft Copilot for simplicity.

Microsoft says these new AI products will be extremely important for PC users, as much content is created on desktops and laptops, and AI software will become increasingly useful in these operations.

Those who have not activated Windows Copilot will be taken to “Windows search” by pressing the new key.

In 1994, a Start button was added to the keyboard.
