New military aid package from Germany
At the same time, it is noted that today the German government announced that it is preparing a new military assistance package for Ukraine in the amount of 2.7 billion euros, which includes many tanks, armored vehicles and air defense systems.
“We all wish for a speedy end to this terrible war of Russia against the Ukrainian people, but, unfortunately, this is not foreseen. For this reason, Germany will provide the maximum possible assistance for as long as necessary,” German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in a statement.
As part of this assistance, Berlin will provide Kyiv with another twenty Marder armored personnel carriers, 30 Leopard-1 tanks and four IRIS-T-SLM air defense systems, Pistorius said.
