A man cycled 2,826 kilometers “from coast to coast” in Africaavoiding, among other things, wild elephants and snakes on the extensive route.

Matthew Myerskow from Cardiff decided to ride his bike from one coast of Africa in Beira, Mozambique, to the other side of the continent, in Swakopmund, Namibia.

It took the 37-year-old civil engineer 28 days to complete his venture, covering 80 to 200 kilometers each day. “It was definitely very hard physically,” Myerscough said.
