October 3, 2023 autobiography actor Peter Stewart by Simon & Schuster under the title “Let’s Do It”, a phrase he often said when he played Enterprise Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation. According to reports, Stewart wanted to write his own biography, rather than have another author (a ghostwriter) do it, as is usually the case. The narrative of his life and career was in the back of his mind for several years, as he himself said, but his commitments kept him from doing it.

Guessing the culprit

The Swedish Institute in Athens, Monogram Bookshop and Metaichmio publishing house are organizing an interactive creative writing workshop as part of the 4th Police Literature Festival called “Guess the Culprit”, tomorrow May 3 at 19:00. An unfinished police story will be used as a starting point, presented by author Krissa Spiropoulou, criminology professor emeritus Yiannis Panousis, private investigator Giorgos Tsoukalis, and forensic psychologist Eri Ioannidou. Workshop participants will be encouraged to write their own version of history by exploring how scientific evidence supports research. On the basis of the Swedish Institute (Mitsion 9).

“Terapenida” in comics

A world bestseller graphic novel was recently released in Greek by Psychogios. “Therapist’s Tale” Margaret Atwood. Comic artist RenĂ© Noh adapts and brings to life through his drawings the compelling story already illustrated by the award-winning Hulu series: in a dystopian future, environmental destruction and a declining birth rate led to the Second American Civil War. The result is the Republic of Gilead, a totalitarian regime that imposes strict social roles and enslaves the few females capable of reproduction.
