Diplomats and citizens of the US, UK, France and China will be evacuated by air from Sudan As the fighting continues, the war countries have declared.

According to a related statement, the head of the armed forces, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, agreed with assistance and safe evacuation of foreigners “in the next few hours”.

The army’s announcement follows promises by rival Rapid Support Force (RSF) chief Mohamed Hadan Dagalo, known as Hamedi, to open airports to evacuate civilians.

Second week of fighting

Earlier, UN Secretary General António Guterres and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called on the warring parties to agree to a ceasefire.
