
More than 3,000 people will be evacuated in the Russian city of Belgorod, near the border with Ukraine, after a bomb was discovered, the local governor said on Saturday, two days after a Russian warplane accidentally dropped a bomb on the city, Reuters reported.
Military bomb technicians decided to “disarm” the explosives at the training ground, Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, wrote in Telegram.
“The operational headquarters decided to evacuate 17 residential buildings within a radius of 200 meters. According to preliminary data, it is more than 3 thousand people. Anyone who needs help with temporary accommodation will be provided,” he said.
