The Guinness Book of Records holds the name of David Wenkl, who successfully attempted to dive 52.1 meters in one breath under the ice of Lake Sills in Switzerland.
A 40-year-old Czech dived into a hole in a frozen lake and, to prove that he had reached a depth of 50 meters, grabbed a token from the spot. After a little hemoptysis, he sat down for a minute and then opened the champagne in honor of the great achievement. He was then taken to the hospital, where it was confirmed that the blood was not caused by anything serious.

The dive at 1 to 4 degrees Celsius lasted 1:54 inches, a little longer than he himself had calculated.
βHe was having fun, but he admits he was more nervous than usual and had trouble breathing. It is not difficult for him to be in cold water … The lack of oxygen for him is something normal. But it was completely different, because diving with ear pressure in cold water is very difficult,β explains his manager Pavel Kalus.
He also broke a Guinness World Record in 2021 when he swam under ice along a lake in the Czech Republic.
