Ukraine will receive the necessary weapons and ammunition every month from 2023 to be able to fight the Russian invasion, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov assured on Wednesday, EFE reports.
In a special program broadcast by Ukrainian TV channels and intercepted by the Interfax-Ukraine agency, a high-ranking official from Kyiv emphasized that the country has signed numerous contracts with other states regarding the disposal of weapons in the coming months.
“The American military industry is already up and running. That is, one of the key topics of every meeting within the framework of the “Ramstein format” (as the meetings of the Defense Group of Ukraine with other states are called) is the realization of the capabilities of the countries that support Ukraine in this war. , said the Ukrainian minister.
At the moment, “orders have already been placed, and not only in the USA, but also in Germany, France, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania and other countries,” he emphasized.
“And I will say openly, without revealing big secrets, I have many signed contracts to supply us with the necessary weapons and corresponding ammunition. And I know for sure, the ministers of defense or defense ministers of different countries confirm to me that they also signed similar contracts,” he said.
The Ukrainian agency recalled that US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin had reported since November that at least six countries had announced an increase in military aid to Ukraine at the seventh meeting of the so-called Ramstein format.
By the way, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is going to the United States on Wednesday for his first visit outside the country since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24, to receive additional aid for the defense of Ukraine. (Agerpress)
