Last night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky demanded access to “all the evidence” of Kyiv’s allies about the circumstances of the explosion in Poland, reiterating that the rocket that fell in Poland was “Russian”.
The Kuleba-Blinken telephone conversation took place this morning as Russia launched a new wave of missile strikes on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister welcomed “vital American assistance” in the “defense sector” and reminded that “it is necessary to expedite the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine” in response to the escalation of Russian missile attacks.
Dmitry Kuleba specifically asked Washington to supply Ukraine with the Patriot system, an American surface-to-air system that uses a high-performance radar.
