Russia directly blames the UK for the explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipeline

The British Royal Navy accuses Russia for the explosions that took place in gas pipelines Nord Stream 1 and 2 at the end of September.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, British Navy soldiers blew up gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea.

“According to available information, officers of the British (Royal) Navy unit participated in the planning, preparation and implementation of the terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on September 26 this year, blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. pipelines,” the statement said, but no evidence was provided for this assertion.

Previously, Moscow has broadly and vaguely blamed the West for the explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.

The Kremlin reiterated that claims that Russia itself sabotaged the pipelines are “nonsense,” while Russian officials have argued that Washington has a possible motive as it wants to sell more LNG to Europe. The US denies any involvement.

UK denies

Shortly thereafter, the UK denied Russia’s allegations today, calling them “false claims of epic proportions.”

“In order to divert attention from its disastrous response to the illegal invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense has resorted to spreading false claims on an epic scale,” the UK Ministry of Defense said on Twitter.

“This latest fabricated story says more about divisions within the Russian government than about the West,” he added.

Moscow accuses Britain and Ukraine of attacking its fleet in the Black Sea

In addition to the above, the Russian armed forces made another accusation today, alleging that Ukraine and the UK are behind the massive drone attack on the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.

According to Russian authorities, the ship sustained “minor damage” as a result of this attack.

“The preparation of this terrorist attack and the training of the military personnel of the 73rd Special Operations Center of the Ukrainian Navy was carried out by British specialists based in Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region of Ukraine,” the message of the Russian Defense Ministry posted on Telegram says.

Moscow claims the targeted ships were involved in guarding convoys tasked with exporting Ukrainian grain.
