
At least 15 people were killed and 10 more were injured in an attack on the Shah Serag mausoleum in the city of Shiraz, Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
The agency reported that today, Wednesday afternoon, three armed men entered a shrine located in the city of Shiraz, south of Iran.
According to IRNA, the perpetrators acted as “takfiri terrorists”. The term is used by Tehran to describe Sunni extremists such as Islamic State militants.
Mizan Online, a news agency close to Iran’s judicial authorities, said the two attackers had been arrested.
