PSD President Marcel Ciolacu said Wednesday night on Romanian television that he has not made any decision regarding his candidacy for the presidential election.

The prime minister cites that he has a lot of governance issues to deal with in order to escalate the clash with the PNL and has not had time to think about the issue.

However, Čolaku believes that the PSD has many resources and “it’s time for Romania to have a socialist-oriented president.”

PSD and PNL leaders at the coalition meeting on Tuesday agreed that the first round of presidential elections will be held on September 15, and the second round on September 29.
