Red roses, chocolate hearts, declarations of love – Valentine’s Day has it all, but it can also be the beginning of an honest and direct conversation about what responsible love means. Electric Castle, in partnership with the SEXUL vs BARZA association, launches the “G-Info Spot”, a sexual education platform where the public can find all the information they need for a healthy and fulfilling sex life.

In 2024, Romania remains at the top of the saddest European statistics on how the public understands and applies information related to sexuality and intimate life. The alarming number of cases of sexually transmitted infections or teenage pregnancy, as well as conservative attitudes that support myths about sex, are sufficient arguments to recognize sex education at any age as a necessity.

Electric Castle and the association SEXUL vs BARZA, an organization that has been actively involved in the promotion of sexual and reproductive health for more than 10 years, joined forces to launch ginfospot.ro. The platform provides information on healthy practices, hygiene, consent, stereotypes, sexual myths, pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections in a straightforward manner and without false modesty. The audience also has at their disposal a series of tips adapted to the moments they are at the festival: how to prioritize safety even in moments when you feel free, carefree, how important it is to respect everyone’s personal space and what you can do specifically to return home with only pleasant memories. The platform also offers the ability to connect with experts in the field for those who want more detailed or personalized answers to a specific problem.

With the debut of the 10th edition of Electric Castle, the G-Info Spot also becomes the festival’s information point, where every participant can get tips and materials. In this way, the G-Info Spot will complement the initiatives already started in recent releases, such as the “Angel Shot” notification code and the safety line (a special telephone line for reporting cases of possible aggression) that Electric Castle provides to the public for their own safety .

“We understand that a festival can be a place where inhibitions disappear, but this should not leave room for irresponsible behavior,” says Tudor Kostinash, Director of Communications at Electric Castle. “The G-Info Spot is our way of communicating to members that we care about their health and safety. It’s a way to learn together, even while having fun, about what makes our lives better beyond the festival.”

“In Romania, children are still brought by storks because of shame and rejection of sexuality. Campaigns like the G-Info Spot can bring information to places where prejudice and fear still abound. We can change mindsets at any age and in any context, and Electric Castle is the perfect place to do that.” say Adriana Radupresident of the SEXUL vs BARZA Association.

Materials and information on the ginfospot.ro platform are provided free of charge to event organizers, companies, non-governmental organizations and anyone interested in promoting the dissemination of sex education messages.
