The Czech Republic’s interior minister and police said at a press conference on Thursday evening that officers were working on the theory that today’s shooter was responsible for the deaths of two people last week in the Klanovitz Forest near Prague, the BBC reported.
They believed that the shooter, who has no criminal record, chose his victims at random.
Earlier, the Czech site Novinky.cz reported that the attacker was student Davyd Kozak, who is wanted by the police in connection with a case of violent death in a village in the Kladno district.
Officials also confirmed that 14 people were shot and 25 injured in Prague today, 10 of them in serious condition.
