A man who was hunting in the forest in the commune of Lelesti in Gorye was injured by a bear, was taken by an ambulance and taken to Tirgu Jiu Hospital for medical treatment, the spokesman of the Inspectorate said on Sunday. The district gendarmerie (IJJ Gorj), Alin Ivan, is quoted by Agerpres.

“At 9:50 IJJ Gorj received a call from 112 from the forest in the Leleşti area that a man was attacked by a bear while organizing a hunt. An operational team was sent to the scene, and the victim was taken by an ambulance team and taken to the hospital for medical assistance. When the gendarme crew arrived, the bear was no longer there,” said Alin Ivan.

According to representatives of the emergency hospital of Tirgu-Zhiu district, the man has wounds on his arms and thighs, and there is a suspicion of a broken arm.
