In the finals of the tournament, Niculescu and Hozumi will meet Lidia Marozava (Belarus) and Ingrid Gamarra Martins (Brazil).
Monica Niculescu’s partner, Japan’s Eri Hozumi, is the Bad Homburg doubles champion along with her compatriot, who lost in the semifinals, Makoto Ninomiya (the Romanian’s former partner).
The Bad Homburg Open is the third edition of the WTA 250 grass-court tournament and offers a total prize pool of $251,750.
