Each presentation of the Singer model is a small event. It must be said that the Californian tuner has made a specialty of showing us absolutely incredible cars, and his latest creation is no exception to the rule.

The model presented in the photo, it’s the new Porsche 911, a reimagined Singer DLS Turboan improved version of the 911 that further advances the Dynamics & Lightweighting Study (DLS) concept.

For the road and for the track

The first DLS dates back to 2018 and allows owners of the 964 generation Porsche 911 to explore the performance of their car. by integrating technologies from the world of competition. Today, Singer presents the latest evolution of DLS.

Singer designed this model to pay tribute to the Porsche 934/5, the cars that dominated endurance racing in the 1970s. In 1977, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer’s Porsche 911 Type 934/5 won six of eight SCCA Trans American Championships. that year.

The DLS Turbo has a carbon fiber body with two possible configurations: track prep or road prep. For the track, the car is equipped with a rear spoiler that provides maximum aerodynamic downforce, an adjustable upper element and a specially designed for the track front fairing with a larger splitter. For the road-homologated version, the model is equipped with a ducktail-like rear spoiler and a specific fairing.

The flat six developed power up to 700 hp

Under the hood we obviously find the famous 3.8-liter bi-turbo six-cylinder engine that develops more than 700 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels. The setup also includes track-specific suspension, carbon-ceramic wheels, lightweight monobloc calipers, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 or Cup 2R tires mounted on 19- and 20-inch center-nut forged magnesium wheels.

As for the price, it has not leaked, as usual, but considering the latest creations of the brand, this one should be close to two million dollars. Inflation (or rather increased demand) has also taken a toll on Singer, as the first models released in 2018, admittedly less efficient than this DLS Turbo, but just as desirable, sold for around $500,000.
