A 27-year-old man is accused of raping a 70-year-old woman on the island of Patmos.

According to what has become official, a 27-year-old man, whose face was covered with a scarf, broke into the house of a 70-year-old woman who was living alone on Patmos at 2:15 yesterday and threatened her. raped her with a small knife.

The defendant, who was working on the construction/renovation of an adjoining hotel complex, was arrested (June 9, 2023) in the morning by the Patmos Police Department and was charged with rape.

A police investigation was immediately launched to investigate the case, involving a person unequivocally identified by the elderly woman as the perpetrator. The detainee will be taken to the prosecutor’s office of Primary Kos.
