
On Friday, the Ukrainian authorities detained a judge who is suspected of hitting a 23-year-old military man with his car at a checkpoint in Kyiv while he was driving under the influence, AFP reports.
The Ukrainian investigative bureau reports that it is investigating the circumstances of this death, referring to the violation of road safety rules, which is punishable by up to six years of imprisonment.
Around midnight, the head of the Makariv district court of Kyiv, Oleksiy Tandyr, beat a 23-year-old serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine to death.

The suspect is Oleksiy Tandyr, head of the Makarovsk District Court, News.ro reports.

According to the agency, the killed serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine was 23 years old.
The incident happened around midnight from Thursday to Friday, when the night traffic ban begins in Kyiv, the source said.
The investigation released photos showing a smashed hood of the car and a partially broken windshield, and the man’s lifeless body lying on the road in a pool of blood.
After the tragedy, the judge refused to go to the polyclinic for a breathalyzer test, the investigators reported.
