Not one, but two special cultural events will mark the Night of Museums in the Česianu-Rakovica Palace. Art lovers will have the opportunity to admire the most important works signed by the national artist Nicolae Grigorescu, which reflect the most representative theme in the history of Romanian art – the “ox cart”, complemented by the works of modern or contemporary artists inspired by the great master who raised the rural world to the level of art – Stefan Lucian, Theodore Aman, Rudolf Schweitzer-Kumpena, Ludovic Bassarab, Ioan Statescu or Jean Cheller. The exhibition “Nicolae Grigorescu, a symbol for generations” is dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the national artist’s birthday on May 15, the date that marks the National Day of Nicolae Grigorescu in Romania.
