German police report the arrest of a 53-year-old man after two people were killed at the manufacturer’s historic production site. The two victims, aged 44, were employees of a third-party supplier to the plant.

Reason for clarification
The attack happened around 7:45 a.m., when the alleged gunman entered the manufacturing facility and opened fire on the two victims. The plant’s security staff were able to neutralize him before handing him over to the police.
This is reported by the Ludwigsburg police “Two 44-year-old men died from their injuries”. The reasons for the attack are still unknown, the investigation is ongoing.
A Mercedes representative confirmed that the alleged shooter was also an employee of an outside contractor. The Sindelfingen plant is the oldest Mercedes plant has about 35,000 employees. It is located near Stuttgart, where the manufacturer’s headquarters are located.
