
Ten women were arrested yesterday, Tuesday, May 9, by police officers of the Organized Crime and Human Trafficking Directorate of the Attica Security Service, on charges of violating the law on extradited persons and violating the seals established by the Directorate.
According to EL.AS., in the context of global action 3.3. (CIRCUIT OF OPERATIONS), EMPACT’s priority in combating trafficking in human beings, screened four shelters in downtown Athens and Kallithea to identify victims of human trafficking. The defendants were found and arrested in specific brothels.
The arrested women were taken to the district attorney of Athens.
