With the new Cayenne, Porsche has completely redesigned the screen and instrumentation concept. The new Porsche Driving Experience, which debuted with the Porsche Taycan, is driver-focused and optimizes the driving experience. Frequently used functions by the driver are located on or near the steering wheel. For example, the lever located on the left behind the steering wheel now has additional control functions for driver assistance systems. The control of the automatic transmission in the new Cayenne is now located on the dashboard. The new center console thus frees up storage space and a larger air conditioning control unit in an elegant black design. Large, easy-to-reach controls, combined with mechanical air conditioning switches and a tactile volume control, ensure optimal usability and enhanced looks. The main feature of the new Porsche Driving Experience is the right balance between digital and analogue elements.

For the first time, the redesigned Cayenne instrument cluster includes a fully digital 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster with stand-alone design and differentiated display options. An optimized head-up display is available as an option. The standard 12.3-inch Porsche Communication Management (PCM) center display is harmoniously integrated into the new instrument panel, providing access to all important vehicle functions. The new Cayenne comes with built-in apps like Spotify.^® and Apple Music^® to optimize connectivity. For the first time, a 10.9-inch screen is available in the passenger seat. This enriches the passenger’s driving experience by displaying performance data, providing separate access to infotainment system controls and, depending on the country, the ability to stream video while driving. A special membrane ensures that the driver does not see this screen.

The new Cayenne now has a particularly expressive appearance. A new front end combined with more bulging fenders, a new trunk and technically impressive headlights emphasize the car’s width. Three-dimensional rear lights, simple surfaces at the bottom and a new rear apron with integrated license plate holder characterize the rear design of the new Cayenne. An expanded color palette with three new shades, lighter equipment that reduces the weight of the Cayenne Coupé by up to 33 kg and a new extended range of 20, 21 and 22 inch wheels guarantee a personalized and dynamic configuration of the new Cayenne. .

Matrix LED headlights are now standard on the new Cayenne. HD Matrix LED headlights are a new optional feature. With two high-definition units and over 32,000 pixels per headlight, the innovative technology “selects” other road users and blocks the strong beam of light in their direction so as not to “dazzle” them. The brightness of the blocks is continuously adjustable in more than 1000 steps depending on the driving conditions. Individual lighting functions enhance safety and comfort in various driving situations.

Porsche has also implemented an air quality monitoring system in the new Cayenne. The vehicle now has the standard feature of using predictive navigation data to detect approaching tunnel entrances by automatically activating the air recirculation function. Optionally, a sensor detects the level of fine dust particles in the air and filters them through a fine filter as often as necessary. In addition, the ionizer removes many germs and pollutants from the air, which is an extremely valuable feature for allergy sufferers.

In addition, customers can take advantage of a range of new and optimized assistance systems, including Active Speed ​​Limiter and Yaw Assist, Cornering Assist and the improved Porsche InnoDrive system as part of adaptive cruise control. This means that the new Cayenne helps the driver even more in dangerous situations, as well as in traffic jams on motorways and main roads.

Porsche now equips the Cayenne with steel suspension as well as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) at the factory. New shock absorbers with two-valve technology and therefore separate compression and return stages guarantee improved performance in all driving conditions. In particular, comfort at low speeds, grip in dynamic corners and reduced body roll have been significantly improved. The driving experience can be further enriched with the new Adaptive Air Suspension with Dual Valve Dual Chamber Technology. This improves the driving experience thanks to the characteristics of the soft suspension, the car is more stable and easier to handle on and off road compared to the standard suspension and the previous model. At the same time, adaptive air suspension improves driving precision and performance by reducing body movements in dynamic driving conditions. The suspension also provides even more differential precision in Normal, Sport and Sport Plus driving modes.

In Europe, the new Cayenne will debut with three different engine options. A completely redesigned four-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine exclusively from Porsche replaces the old V6 engine in the new Cayenne S. With a maximum power output of 349 kW (474 ​​hp) and 600 Nm of torque – improved performance by 25 kW (34 hp). s.) and 50 Nm compared to its predecessor – both the SUV and the SUV-coupe accelerate to 100 km / h. within 4.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 273 km/h. The new Cayenne impresses with an improved 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. The six-cylinder engine is also the basis of the Cayenne E-Hybrid’s power plant. Combined with a new electric motor with increased power from 30 kW to 130 kW (176 hp), the new design output reaches 346 kW (470 hp). Thanks to the high-voltage battery with capacities ranging from 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh, depending on the equipment level, a purely electric range of up to 90 kilometers is now possible according to WLTP measurements. The new 11kW in-vehicle charger now reduces charging time with a suitable power source to less than two and a half hours, despite the large battery capacity. Along the way, e-Hybrid’s optimized driving modes enhance the vehicle’s performance.

Outside the European Union, the Turbo GT engine, designed for maximum performance on the road, remains the top model in the Cayenne range in most Porsche markets. It is available exclusively in coupé form and has all the streamlined and innovative features of the series. In addition, the Turbo GT’s four-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been increased by 14 kW (19 hp) to 485 kW (659 hp). The Cayenne Turbo GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h.

Standard equipment on the Cayenne has been significantly expanded to include Matrix LED headlights, Porsche Active Suspension Management, 20-inch wheels, front and rear parking assistance including a rearview camera, and a smart phone storage case with inductive charging. power up to 15 watts. In Germany, Porsche currently offers the new Cayenne starting at €89,097 (Coupé starting at €93,143), including country-specific equipment VAT.
