Brasov gendarmes intervened in the night from Sunday to Monday in the area of ​​Kuciulata, where a conflict arose between several people in the cultural center in this place. Shortly after the arrival of the law enforcement officers, the participants in the scandal became hostile to them. One of the gendarmes used the provided pistol and, having fired a warning shot, shot one of the participants in the scandal in the leg.

The scandal, which involved at least 14 people, broke out in the night from Sunday to Monday in the cultural center in the city of Cuchulata, the intervention of the gendarmerie was called at 2:30 a.m., according to News.ro.

A patrol consisting of two gendarmes went to the scene of the incident and established that approximately 14 people participated in the conflict.

“At some point, there was a power outage, then most of the participants went out into the courtyard of the building, and the disobedient started insulting the police, one of the gendarmes was hit by a man. In an attempt to quell the conflict, the gendarmes used tear gas, but they did not quell the situation, the group became more aggressive. At that moment, one of the gendarmes, after being called, fired a warning shot in the vertical plane. Since there were attacks on law enforcement officers, the gendarme fired his weapon at one of the aggressors, the bullet hit him in the leg area,” representatives of the Brasov District Gendarmerie Inspectorate report.

An ambulance was called to the scene, and before the arrival of the medical team, two gendarmes provided first aid to the victim by applying a tourniquet. The injured was picked up and taken to the hospital.

“We inform you that the man is out of danger. The case was handed over to the police for further investigation. Also, under the coordination of the prosecutor, an investigation into the insult is being conducted,” the source notes.
