
Announcement about Shooting incident yesterday (3.10) in the evening in Lavrioand for which a 53-year-old man was arrested in a spontaneous procedure for attempted murder and for violating the law on weapons issued by the Greek police.
According to police, the 53-year-old man was in a cafe in Lavrion, where he participated in verbal episode with other visitors. He then left the store, but soon returned with carbine and outside the store, aiming at the 67-year-old owner, shot through the window.
A 67-year-old shop owner was injured. buckshot who slapped him on the cheek, and also off shards of glass which were launched towards him. Immediately afterwards, the defendant verbally threatened the 67-year-old man and fled on an electric bike.
Police officers of the Lavreotic Security Department, who promptly arrived at the scene, found a 53-year-old man nearby and immobilized him. They also performed breathalyzer the accused with a positive result.
During a search conducted in his house, a carbine and 33 rounds of ammunition, which he legally owned, were found and seized.
The detainee with the case initiated against him was brought to the competent prosecutor’s office.
