“It is known that three people died and two more were wounded as a result of enemy shelling of a parking lot on the Mykolaiv (Mykolaiv) – Kherson highway,” Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said. in Telegram.

According to him, rescue operations are ongoing at the scene.

A 53-year-old woman narrowly escaped an attack, she was in a supermarket, where she came to stock up, when an explosion occurred outside. She says that her car, which she parked near the store, was broken into.

In an earlier report, Prokudin claimed that the car was set on fire after a projectile hit it, initially indicating that one person had been killed and another injured.

“Russian terrorists bomb Kherson again. There are dead and wounded,” Andriy Yermak, the head of the Presidential Administration in Kyiv, said in Telegram, without providing details at the moment.

However, he accompanied his message with a photo of the completely charred car, showing firefighters working around its corpse.

This new strike came two days after Russian artillery shells killed three people in the city of Kherson, the Ukrainian presidency said.

Kherson, the administrative center of the Kherson region in southern Ukraine, was liberated by the Ukrainian army in November after months of Russian occupation. Since then, Russian shelling has been taking place regularly over this region, which is partially controlled by Moscow.
