At the same time, the service document indicates that two station chiefs were constantly at the station for one hour, since the day shift began at 11 am, and the night shift chief began work at 10 am. As a result, the presence of a single station manager, combined with the chronic pathologies of the Greek railway, became fatal for a tragic accident with dozens of deaths.
