Mike Meignan returns to Milan’s first team – Cipriani Tetarushanu out of Stefano Pioli’s squad
Cipriani Tetarushanu, who has made 22 appearances for AC Milan this season, is ready to leave the starting post in goal for the Italian champions after Mike Magnan returned to training.
The Romanian goalkeeper is out of contract with AC Milan and has a good chance of playing in Serie A next season and getting a guaranteed starting position.
Mike Mainan is expected to return to the starting XI at the start of March, meaning Tetarushanu could enjoy another game in the starting line-up.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Romanian goalkeeper will start in the match against Monza on February 18, and Mainan will return to the main team from the next stage.
In 6 out of 22 games, Ciprian Tetarushan managed to keep Milan’s goal intact, the latest example being the victory in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League against Tottenham (1:0).
