
The British director passed away today at the age of 86. Hugh Hudsonwho became famous for the award-winning Oscar masterpiece “Roads of fire“(Fiery chariots).
ABOUT Hudson died in a London hospital where he was being treated for a recent bout of illness, his family said.
Before moving into films, Hudson made television commercials in the late 1960s and in the early 1970s made a documentary about Argentinean Juan Manuel Fangio, the legendary Formula One driver.
“Roads of fire”, a story of British runners who competed in the 1924 Olympics, won an Oscar in 1981, including Best Picture and Best Score written by Vangelis Papathanasiou.
