Rescuers from Poiana Brasov found a skier who got lost after leaving the slopes to go skiing in the forest, News.ro reports.
“Lost person found from Valea Seake. The skier left the prepared slopes, intending to ski in the forest. Not knowing the conformation of the mountain massif, he could not return to the slopes and got lost in Vala Seake,” mountain rescuers from Poiana Brasov reported on Tuesday evening.
According to them, it was impossible to return to the hill due to a thick layer of snow, in some places over half a meter.
“A team of 2 mountain rescuers set out to search for him, who, having found him, decided to evacuate to the valley, in the direction of Cheyshwar. The skier’s adventure began during the day, but ended with the onset of darkness, when another team picked him up in a car and took him back to the resort,” the mountain rescuers clarified.
