
US Department of State approved the possible sale of missile systems USA in Poland for about 10 billion dollars.
The kit includes 18 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, 45 ATACMS missile systems (with a range of 297 km) and more than 1000 GMLRS (Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System) missiles.
Poland is rushing to modernize its military, transferring old weapons systems to neighboring Ukraine to counter Russian invasion.
“The proposed agreement will strengthen Poland’s military goals to modernize its capabilities, as well as ensure interoperability with the United States and other allies,” the Pentagon said.
