Ukraine has released an unusual video showing Wagner’s soldiers dragging their badly wounded commander off the battlefield and then brutally beating him with shovel-like objects, The Guardian newspaper reported, as cited by News.ro.
A Ukrainian drone filmed the incident near the city of Bakhmut in the east of the country, where fierce fighting has been going on for months. Four fighters of Wagner’s Russian mercenary group carried their colleague through the ruins of buildings, holding him by the arms and legs. Then threw it near the barn.
The second video shows three men hitting him with shovels.
The other day, this video was shot by a drone of the “Seneca” special unit, which on Monday, after being broadcast on Ukrainian television, spread on Ukrainian social networks.
The fate of the wounded commander is unknown, but the episode is consistent with increasingly persistent reports of low morale among Russian mercenaries sent to fight in Bakhmut.
Ukrainian soldiers fighting in Bakhmut and its surroundings told how Wagner’s troops were sent to attack in waves. The mercenaries seem to be in danger of being shot if they don’t advance, and as a result they become casualties in large numbers, with their corpses strewn all over the front line.
