No criminal charges against the Turkish citizen against whom yesterday, Thursday, US intelligence briefing for being able to board an Emirates flight, according to the Greek police.

It is recalled that a person was previously identified, in respect of whom information was received from the US intelligence services yesterday about a possible landing on an Emirates flight. He is a Turkish citizen and has been living in Greece for the last few years. The man was not found during the flight, but was later identified by the authorities.

The mobilization began after an email was sent to the US Embassy in Athens. It indicated that the individual was boarding one of two evening Emirates flights from Athens.

Although the information was assessed by the competent authorities as not particularly reliable, it was decided to check the passengers just in case. Following the outcome of the case, the possibility is being considered that the email was sent maliciously by a person belonging to the Turkish citizen’s entourage. Information says that his roommate is behind the “revealing” of his identity to the authorities.
