The Archdiocese of Tomis has created a TikTok account where IPSD Teodosie will “present Christian teachings”. In the first message on this platform, Archbishop Tomisa talks about “limitations of current, heat, which have no logic”.
- “We are also on TikTok called ‘Archdiocese of Tomis’, where His Holiness Theodosius and other priests and theologians of the Archdiocese of Tomis will give you short and concrete Christian teachings. Help God!”, the Archdiocese of Tomis reported.
The Archbishop Tomis TikTok account has 811 followers and 4,620 likes, with nine videos posted so far featuring messages from Archbishop Tomis.
- “There are so many rumors, poor people go to demonstrations because of trouble, poverty.
- To be honest, these restrictions on current, on heat, so that the administration determines what the temperature should be in the house, this is what interferes with the nature of people.
- There is no logic in this. God has given us everything. Let’s leave it to God, let’s pray to God that all the so-called threats of evil will turn into rays of good,” says IPS Teodosie in his first message sent on TikTok.
IPS Teodosie has distinguished himself in recent years with many controversial statements and during the lockdown and standby mode, he defied the authorities and served.
In January of this year, he was fined three times by the police on the grounds that, although he was supposed to be in quarantine, he served a service at the Archbishop’s Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Constanta and then took part in two events.
Throughout the pandemic, he spoke out against the anti-covid vaccination, claiming that the vaccine “is not accepted by anyone and there are a lot of negative consequences.” He also called on people to “seek justice en masse” regarding restrictions on the rights of the unvaccinated and asked “appellate lawyers to mobilize and defend them.”
In February, shortly before Russia went to war in Ukraine, IPS Teodosie made “sui generis” statements on Radio Dobrudja in which he praised Vladimir Putin: “Mr. Putin, who is so spread and considered so black today, is not black, as everyone represents him. I said it and I say it without fear or hesitation. He is the greatest founder of the Holy Mountain and Jerusalem. In their country, both Putin and Medvedev are founders. And I followed in their footsteps on the journey, and I was amazed at how much they sacrificed. And we judge them as criminals. Of course, they have their sins. They are not responsible for the sins of their ancestors who brought communism. But he was not brought. Those who brought communism, those from the west, they planted communism. That Marx and Engels are not from Russia. I am of a different origin.”
