Six years after the release of the third film “Bridget Jones’s Diary” titled “Bridget Jones baby”, begins the fourth chapter of the story.
British writer and screenwriter Helen Fielding recently announced that she is preparing a sequel to the film, bringing to the big screen her 2013 book titledBridget Jones: crazy about the boy“.
“Yes, it’s true. I’m working on the script for the fourth film and I really hope that it will be ready. Every completed film is a miracle. I think it’s very difficult to make films, make them possible and get a good result. We want it to be very good. I would love to see it on screen,” Fielding told Britain’s Radio Times website.
First two filmsDiary of Bridget Jones“(2001) and”Bridget Jones: Next page» (2004) Cast Rene Zellweger, were based on Fielding’s book, while the third was not. Instead, it was an adaptation of a column the writer had written for The Independent.
In Crazy About a Boy, Bridget, 51, is a mother of two, she says, and “the challenges she has to face are lice in their hair, humiliation at a school picnic, and sex with people from a different generation. In addition, he learns that “life doesn’t end when he has to wear presbyopic glasses.”
However, the book also includes a tragic plot that affects the life of the heroine.
The actors who will take part in the film have not yet been announced. Zellweger had previously stated that she was interested in reprising the role if the series continued. “I know that Helen wrote a book and I really like this character. So if they call me, I’ll run.”
