A Canadian confectionery company is offering a very “pleasant” job, according to CNN Buisness.
Candy Funhouse is an online candy store looking for a head pastry chef with an annual salary of $78,000. The candidate will work from home and evaluate the sweets and chocolates they try – approximately 117 candies per day.
The ad posted on LinkedIn attracted the interest of thousands of job seekers, CEO Jamal Hejazi said. He noted that he was surprised by the number of applications, as well as videos of families offering to share duties and salaries for tastings.
According to the announcement, this position also applies to children aged five and over, and in fact, many parents filmed their child completing the application and posted it online.
Based out of Toronto, Candy Funhouse is a family business run by four brothers. Its sales in 2021 showed a significant increase due to the pandemic, “nearly $15 million,” Hejazi assured.
Right now, the company is gearing up for Halloween, the biggest selling season of the past year.
