Five days after the departure of Marius Šumudike, Gaziantep secured a vital 2-0 win against Beşiktaş in the 29th round of the Turkish Super League.
Dejan Sorescu opened the scoring after only nine minutes, scoring from inside the penalty area after a pass from Monteiro.
The advantage was increased by another Romanian, Denis Dragush, who scored in the 85th minute after entering the penalty area and shooting into the far corner.
In the 87th minute, Sorescu also scored a penalty, but it was wasted by Tosun.
With Florin Nice and Alexandru Maxim among the headliners, Gaziantep took an important step to save themselves from relegation, managing to jump four places in the rankings to 15th position.
