Aleksandar Ceferin wants to stay on as UEFA president until 2031, while British newspaper The Independent says that Rezvan Burleanu (FRF president) is the favorite of Slovenia’s opponents for the job.

Ceferin presented the plans to make changes to the UEFA statute at the meeting of the executive committee of the continental forum, which took place before the draw of the groups of the final Euro-2024 tournament. The amendment provides that the UEFA president can have more than three mandates.

According to The Independent, opponents of the statute change are led by Britain’s David Gill, a member of UEFA’s executive committee since 2013, and many involved see Rezvan Burleana, president of the Romanian Football Federation, as the best choice. for the presidency of the European Forum.
