Davyd Popovici qualified for the 100m freestyle final at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Otopeni. The Romanian athlete showed the second best time in his series.

David Popovich, sixth fastest time in the 100m freestyle

Davyd Popovici will once again fight for a medal at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Otopeni.

The Romanian qualified for the final in the 100m freestyle, becoming the second in his series after the British Richards.

The CS Dinamo Bucharest-registered athlete re-entered the pool after finishing fourth in the 200m freestyle final and stopping the clock at 46.48 seconds.

The final will be held on Sunday at 19:08.
