
Two 15-year-old girls died on Saturday after jumping from a height of about 20 meters on the site of a former factory in Lupen, Hunedoara County. One of the girls told her mother that she was going to commit suicide, News.ro reports. The police opened an investigation.
“Today, around 5:25 p.m., a woman from Uricana told the police that her 15-year-old daughter called her to say that she intended to take her own life in the area of ”la Ruina” in Loupin. In no time, police officers from the Municipal Police of Lupeni and medical teams moved to the area of the former factory in Lupeni, where they identified the bodies of two minors, both aged 15, from Urikani, who had apparently suffered multiple injuries as a result of a fall from a height of approximately 20 meters. reported in IPJ Timiş.
One of the girls died on the spot, the second was resuscitated, but to no avail.
“One of the two minors was immediately pronounced dead by the medical staff, while the second was given a resuscitation protocol, unfortunately to no avail,” IPJ Hunedoara said.
The police have started an investigation into the causes and circumstances under which the tragedy occurred, and the case is under criminal proceedings under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office attached to the Petroshan court.
