America’s Cup 2024 (which is organized by the USA) has announced the groups of the final tournament, the draw will take place in Miami. World champion Argentina will be in the same group as “nightmare” Chile.

Trophy holders Argentina were beaten twice in the Copa America final by Chile. We are talking about the 2015 and 2016 editions, and each time Chile won on penalties.

In addition to Chile, Argentina are also in the same group as Peru and the winner of the match between Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.

Five-time world champion Brazil will play Colombia, Paraguay and the winner of the match between Costa Rica and Honduras.

• Copa America in 2024 will have an expanded format, starting with 16 teams: ten from South America and six from the CONCACAF zone (North America, Central America and the Caribbean).

• The competition will be held from June 20 to July 14, 2024.

• The Canada-Trinidad-Tobago and Costa Rica-Honduras matches will take place on March 23 in Frisco (Texas).

• The group stage will take place from June 20 to July 2, and the two best places in each group will advance to the quarterfinals (July 4, 5, and 6).

• The semifinals will be held on July 9 and 10 in East Rutherford (New Jersey) and Charlotte (North Carolina).

• The grand final will be held on July 14 in Miami (Florida).
