Victoria Azarenka was eliminated by Magda Lynette at the WTA in Beijing
Two-time Australian Open winner in 2012 and 2013, as well as three-time US Open finalist Victoria Azarenka (17 WTA) left the tournament in Beijing in the first round.
After the first set, which was awarded to Azarenka before the tiebreak, Magda Lynette came back in force and the next two sets were completely at her disposal.
The China Open is held in Beijing from September 30 to October 8 on hard, is part of the WTA 1000 category and has a total prize pool of $8,127,389.
The competition was last held in 2019 (it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic), and then Naomi Osaka became the champion.
