Elon Musk has angered German rulers after he publicly backed a far-right political party in Germany, suggesting the current government should not be re-elected because of its stance on Europe’s current migrant crisis.

The billionaire made the comments in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, which he bought for $44 billion last year.

“Let’s hope the AfD wins the elections to stop this European suicide,” the original post read.

The AfD is a far-right political party in Germany that regularly publishes posts and videos promoting its anti-immigration stance. The party’s ties extend to right-wing extremists, including sympathizers of neo-Nazis.
