Patricia Sig danced to the song I will survive at the US Open 2023

The last few years have been very difficult for Patricia (both on and off the court), and the Romanian started dancing when “I will survive” (Gloria Gaynor’s hit) rang out in the world’s biggest tennis arena.

Patricia Sieg and the exit from the US Open 2023: “I was surpassed in the level of play, it’s true”

After a resounding defeat in the second round of the US Open, Patricia admitted that her game suffered during this period and she was unable to rise to the level of her opponent.

“It was a strange, exciting and very nice feeling to play in the biggest tennis arena in the world. It was a continuous hum, I didn’t expect this, I didn’t know it was such a vibe… I don’t know, something special.

I didn’t feel any pressure from the audience, the audience was very impartial. Of course, she scored more points than me and was applauded more, but I felt supported and appreciated.

I actually got a nice reminder from someone in the audience, I think it was 4-0, who told me to enjoy the moment and kind of brought me back to the mindset I came out with.

I felt a bit outmatched on the field, that’s true. It would be very unrealistic to have higher expectations of myself considering how little tennis I have played in the last two years or so. I think it’s felt, I feel the lack of high-level matches.

Physically, I was clearly surpassed, it is very, very difficult to maintain myself at this level, and I have a lot to work on” – Patricia Tsyg for Eurosport.
