Stefano Pioli and the explanation of the defeat: “Inter” was better

“Inter played better than us in the first half and managed to score two goals. In the second half, my players played better, but it was not possible to score. This is football of this level.

Inter had more quality and efficiency in the first half and we made too many mistakes. “Inter” scored from the first corner and we should have been more careful with the second goal.

The game became very difficult, that’s for sure, two goals in twelve minutes. It was difficult from a tactical and mental point of view, but the players reacted very well.

This is what we must do in return. It is clear that we wanted a different result, but we have to believe and obviously we will try to do better in return” – Stefano Piolicoach of “Milan”.

The return match will take place on Tuesday, May 16, at “Giuseppe Meazza”.

In the other semi-final of the Champions League, Real Madrid and Manchester City played to a 1-1 draw. The decisive match will be held at the Etihad Stadium on May 17.
