Last year, ANAF together with the Labor Inspectorate launched an operation (Cronos) included in the PNRR to detect undeclared work. There were some checks on security companies and at couriers who deliver food.

Then nothing was heard.

What happened?

There is no more control. The operation was not continued.

“Now is the stage of evaluation after the completion of the Bucharest-Ilfov operation. Sometime in the future it will start all over the country,” Dantes Nicolae Bratu, state inspector general of the labor inspection, told HotNews.ro.

Exactly when is unknown.

It should be noted that this was a pilot project.

Given that last year was this Cronos operation, we expect an increase in the number of inspections at work.

The statistical situation does not show this.

How many companies do not declare work

What areas should be targeted for control in Operation Cronos?

According to official information, a selection of companies specializing in areas such as construction and related services, HORECA, vehicle maintenance and repair, transport, security and guarding, landscaping and bodywork, catering, trade, cleaning services, etc., are to be inspected. .

Thus, the target group is companies that pay wages below the industry average, have a significant percentage of minimum wage workers in the economy, have high turnover but very low reported profits, receive significant loans from associated companies without income to substantiate the loans, or inconsistencies in the records between the declared information regarding the transactions carried out and the information declared by business partners.
