Claude Simonet was 92 years old and was president of the FFF between 1994 and 2005. His name will remain associated with the first world championship title won by the French national team in 1998, writes News.ro.
Over time, Simone was the first treasurer of the Loire-Atlantique district (1970-1974), deputy vice-president and responsible for finances of Nantes FC (1972-1984),
In the Federation, he was a member of the Youth Commission (1976-1978) and the Finance Commission (1976-1984).
