Miltos Tedoglu: he’s back with his first record in the Diamond League

The unbeaten streak that he has this season in all matches of the Diamond League was maintained by Miltos Tedoglu, who also won the tournament held in Silesia, Poland.

The Greek champion and gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics jumped 8.13 meters in his first competition since winning the silver medal at the World Championships in Oregon. and took another first place in the event, even breaking the match record held since 2014 by Adrian Stralkowski with a score of 7.83 meters.

Athlete Giorgos Pomaski, although struggling at the beginning, eventually achieved first place in his 5th vault, one of his last “trials” before the European Championships (15-21/8).

In his first attempt, Tedoglu jumped 7.65m, in his second he was disabled, and two jumps followed, 7.94m and 7.97m. Then, however, he found one “good” jump, which he was looking for to overtake his rivals, and “flew” 8.13 m, ending the race with a second disqualification.

He followed him second with 8.09m American McCarter and Cuban Mazo also finished third with 8.09m (McCarter had the best second attempt).
