
Western governments are increasingly concerned about strengthening economic relations between Turkey and Russia and warn of the risk of Turkey being retaliated if it helps Russia bypass sanctions, the Financial Times said in a report today.
Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan agreed to strengthen cooperation in the areas of transport, agriculture, finance and construction.
Six Western officials told the Financial Times they were concerned about the deal.
