Emma Reducanu advanced to the second round of the Citi Open on Tuesday, the athlete representing Great Britain beat American Louise Chirico (216 WTA) in straight sets.

The second favorite of the “WTA 250” competition, Reducanu won after an hour and 26 minutes of play with a score of 6-4, 6-2.

Emma (10 WTA) will face Maria Camila Osorio (67 WTA) for a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Washington, after the athlete from Colombia overcame Sofia Kenin (champion of the Australian Open 2020) with a score of 7-6(2), 6-1 .
